US Under-23 Cup

We are taking entries for the USASA Region I qualifiers of US Under-23 Cup that will take place on the weekend of 19-20 June at the Ukrainian Nationals Soccer Club in Horsham, Pennsylvania. Region I will send two finalists in both the men and women’s category to the US Under-23 Cup Finals that will be held in conjunction with the US Youth Soccer National Championships at the Overland Park Soccer Complex between 20 to 25 July in Overland Park, Kansas.

The Region I men’s tournament will consist of no more than 24 teams. The Region I women’s tournament will consist of no more than 16 teams. Group play will take place on Saturday, 19 June. The group winners will compete on Sunday, 20 June to determine the two qualifiers that will advance to the National Finals.

Eligibility for U23 are players born on or after 1 August 1986.

Registered teams with the Maryland State Soccer Association and Maryland State Youth Soccer Association are eligible to enter the cups.

New teams forming to play in the cups may register their players after the entry deadline. Players need to be registered before the qualifiers begin. Registration is handled online and new teams will be given instructions for registration along with a password. Registration fees are $20 per player. Youth teams may enter on their youth registration as long as they receive permission to compete. Those teams may use their MSYSA passes. Youth players may be registered to adult teams as long as they have permission to compete. Youth players on adult rosters must register on MSSA passes and the fee must be paid for those individual players.

The entry fee is $400. The fee includes both the cup entry fee and referee fee at the tournament. There will be no funds collected at the site. If a state association or regional league needs to conduct a qualifier to determine which teams will take part in the tournament, those teams that do not qualify will be refunded $200 for the referee fee. Teams may pay by credit card, money order or bank check.

US Under-20 Cup

The US Under-20 Cup will be hosted by USASA Region I and the New Jersey Soccer Association. It will take place on 17-18 July in Manalapan, New Jersey. This is an open tournament as there are no state qualifiers to enter and teams from outside of Region I are welcomed to enter. Teams must be registered through their respective USASA or USYSA (U19 and younger) state association or regional league.

Eligibility for U20 are players born on or after 1 August 1989.

Registered teams with the Maryland State Soccer Association and Maryland State Youth Soccer Association are eligible to enter the cups.
