MSSA Champions Cup
Rules of the Competition:
| 1. | Rosters | |
| Rosters will be a maximum of 20 players, all who are eligible to participate in each match. Rosters are to be submitted at the site prior to a team’s first match. | ||
| 2. | Guest Players | |
| Clubs may use a maximum of ten (10) guest players;
the remaining players on the roster must be registered with the club.
Guest players are defined as players registered from the same league as
the participating club. A team may
not use a player registered from any of the other participants nor may it use a
player registered in a league other than its own. |

| 3. | Length of Matches | |
| Group
matches will be 60 minutes in length.
In group matches, three (3) points will be awarded for a victory and
one (1) point for a tie. The final match will be 90 minutes in length.
If the final match ends in a tie, a fifteen-minute overtime period will be
played to its entirety. If it is
still tied, a second fifteen-minute overtime period will be played to its
entirety. If after the two overtime periods the match is still tied, then penalty
kick rounds will determine the winner. |

| a. | Head--to-head competition; |
|
| b. | Goal differential; |
|
| c. | Goals against; | |
| d. | Penalty kick round between tied teams; | |
| 5. | Discipline | |
| If a player is ejected from a match, whether a red
card is issued for foul play or as the result of two cautions (yellow cards)
in the same match, the player shall be suspended
for at least one match.
The Cup Committee may suspend a player for more than one match depending
upon the severity of the action that caused the ejection.
Players ejected for fighting shall be suspended for the remainder of the
tournament. |

| 6. |
Substitutions |
|
| a. | Unlimited substitution; |
|
| b. | After a goal, by either team; |
|
| c. | End line (goal kick only), by either team; | |
| d. | Possession of throw in; | |
| e. | Beginning of second half, by either team; | |
| f. | Equal subs on injuries; and |
|
| g. | For a player issued a caution (that player only). |
